My fiancee totally surprised me the other day by taking me out to a day spa Austin TX. It was not my birthday, nor was it a special day of any kind. He just told me that morning that we would both be going to a spa for the day. Having never been before I was wondering what it would be like, but I have to say that I really enjoyed myself.
Spending the day relaxing while others cater to my needs is something that I will be doing again. I will also be talking my friends at the office to go as well, as it is a great way to get rid of the stresses involved with life.
It is nice to sit back and not worry about getting the next order out on time, or ensuring that the computer system has been updated. I think that we lose sight of how short life is. Most of us go to work for five days during the week, and when the weekend arrives, we tend to do the same things every week. I have now promised myself that will no longer happen, and I will ensure that myself and my other half mix things up a bit from now on.
